Hello! My name is Berenice and I am a Mexican-American filmmaker based in San Jose, CA. I am a 2023 first-generation graduate from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Film and Digital Media.
I have a big passion for visual storytelling, and have focused my career in photography and filmmaking, more specifically Producing/Directing roles. I’ve been able to work with groups such as the San Jose Mercury News, LALIFF, Mucho Mas Media, amongst others.
I have excitedly produced over 10 independent film projects all over the Bay Area, most recently working as a Assistant Producer for Stitch Fix’s newest social media campaign. I’ve also recently completed my directorial debut project El Regreso Del Miedo, which was made under the Watsonville Film Festival’s Cine Se Puede grant program.
My life mission is to highlight the beauty of Mexican storytelling and bring Latina representation to the film world.
